Dr Edwin Dillon is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in knee surgery. He is based at the Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic and operates at both the Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic and the Cure Day Hospital in Somerset West.
He completed his medical degree at Stellenbosch University in 1997. After completing his internship and community service he worked as a medical officer at Conradie Hospital and GF Jooste Hospital for 19 months before commencing his registrar training in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tygerberg Hospital.
In 2006 he completed his MMed in Orthopaedic Surgery (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch. He also successfully completed the FC ORTHO (SA) examination from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. He then joined Dr PJ Erasmus in private practice at the Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic and in 2009 moved on to solo practice also at the Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic.
Dr Dillon is still actively involved in research and has authored and co-authored several research papers. He has also presented papers at local and international meetings.
